This game makes me think we could had the OG Counter Strike and Half Life 1 into the PS1 if optimized as hell, although with very low framerates plus no HD models.

I’m glad MGS2 is finally getting the love it deserves these days. It’s one of the only single player games that I’ve beat multiple times just so I could understand the story better because it just intrigued me that much 😂

@27:54 if you use the 1 search item you start with at the top of the stair i think the tile before you would leave the room you will find the best wepon in the game and it the only chance you get to pick it make the game stupidly easy though

I used to play this because I thought the "IDA!" noise when you cut yourself with the knife was funny. It's exactly how I remember it sounding.

Man this is a throwback - I loved this game on ps2. Never got to play it online on ps2 but had some luck finding matches years ago on PC. Shame how few people know about this game, the story is excellent.

That part with the song in the car is very smart and cool. Everyone wants to know the song (3rd strike - redemption). And the main menu song is from the same band too.

Revisiting this game was a little rough. The controls were just as, if not more unintuitive than the 2012 reboot of Twisted Metal. I otherwise enjoyed my time spent with it.
